Range seems to be the primary concern relative to electric vehicles.

When it comes to electric vehicles, range is the all-important stat to potential buyers. Whether or not you make it to the next public-charging spot, are able to complete your daily commute, or are instead stranded on the side of the road depends on it. Range is so heavily scrutinized because EVs can travel average barely half the distance of gas-powered vehicles before they require a "fill-up" and because gas pumps are far more ubiquitous than fast chargers.

But is this really a problem? Most people think a gas car has sufficient range if it can take them through a week's driving on one tank. With an EV it is more about can a full charge take you through a day's driving. Today's EVs have a range from 100 miles to almost 400 miles which is easily enough for typical daily needs. Charging overnight at home or through the day at work has you covered.
